The school day runs from 8:45am to 3:15pm.  This provides children with a 32.5 hour school week in line with DfE guidance

Morning Session

8:45am - 12:15am

The school gate opens at 8:35am and children should not arrive at school before this time.   Children and families who are late must report to the school office.

Collective Worship takes place daily at 8:55am

Afternoon Session

1:15pm - 3:15pm

Children should leave the school promptly except when they are staying for a particular club or activity.

Please note that children will not be allowed to leave the school premises during school hours unless accompanied by a parent and signed out officially.  If your child is to be collected from school by another adult, the school office will require written authorisation from the parent.

Wrap-Around Care

Early Drop-Off Club on site from 7.45am to 8.30am

Afterschool Club on site from 3.15pm to 5.30pm

Attendance and Absence 

Ensuring your child’s regular attendance at school is your legal responsibility and permitting absence from school without a good reason creates an offence in law and may result in prosecution.  Failing to attend this school on a regular basis will be considered as a safeguarding matter.

If your child is absent you must contact us as soon as possible on the first day of absence preferably by 9.30 by phoning (a message can be left), emailing or delivering a letter or message personally to reception. If we have not heard from you by 9.30am we will attempt to contact you to discuss the absence.

Emergency School Closure Procedures

On extremely rare occasions, the school may not be opening due to emergency closures ... like snow!  We will put the information on our school website - on the top of our home page!  We will also send out text messages to the nominated number and email addresses to notify you of school closures. 

If we are open, but there is snow or ice around, please take care when driving around the local area and also when walking on footpaths.

Bring in those wellies if there is snow, and a warm set of clothes, including gloves, and then we will go out on our field - which is fabulous for building snowmen.
