The Northamprtonshire Healthy Schools Service (working with Public Health Northamptonshire and North Northants Counci) have produced a video workshop to help parents with their own anxiety or supporting their child with theirs.

Young People’s Well-being Guide for Stressful Situations

The Children’s Society has been researching young people’s well-being for more than 15 years and over that time they've surveyed more than 39,000 young people on how they feel about their lives. The young people they spoke with described lots of things that helped them cope and supported their well-being. The advice they gave could be useful in other stressful situations.  They used this to produce a guide/workbook for young people which you can download here:

Top Tips for parents who have separated

The Family Justice & Young Peoples Board (FJYPB) members are children and young people with experience of family law proceedings.   The FJYPB have devised some Top Tips for Parents who are Separated which may assist them to help them think about matters from their child’s perspective. Family Learning courses offer free, fun learning opportunities for parents, carers and children to learn together. All Family Learning courses are taught by experienced and qualified tutors who will help to identify personal learning aims, for you and your children, in a safe and welcoming environment.

Budgeting

The Social Inclusion team at Kettering Borough Council would like you to know that there is an online referral form if any families are struggling financially and would benefit from help with switching tariffs on gas and electricity; to check that they are receiving the correct benefits; or if they are struggling to manage their money relating to universal credit payments.

Other information that you may find useful

The Sarah Agnes Foundation is moving to North Park Community Centre (North Park Drive, Kettering, NN16 9LW).  You can make an online referral stating which young person would like to access their counselling service in Kettering.   They do family, individual and couples therapy and counselling.
